TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CONTESTANTS

Most Beautiful Igbo Girl International (MBIG International) 2026

Effective Date: 13 October 2025

By registering for and participating in the Most Beautiful Igbo Girl International (MBIG International) pageant (hereafter referred to as “MBIG” or “the Pageant”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read carefully before proceeding.

1. Eligibility and Accuracy of Information

1.1. All contestants must provide complete, accurate, and truthful information during registration and at all stages of the competition.
1.2. Any false, misleading, or incomplete information provided—whether about personal details, age, qualifications, or background—will result in automatic disqualification without refund or appeal.
1.3. MBIG reserves the right to verify all information submitted and to request supporting documents at any stage.

2. Consent for Media and Publicity Use

2.1. By registering, you grant MBIG International and its affiliates the right to use your name, photographs, videos, voice recordings, and likeness for promotional, marketing, and public relations purposes, both online and offline.
2.2. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Display on the official MBIG website and social media pages.
  • Use in press releases, event promotions, and partner collaborations.
  • Inclusion in digital and print materials for marketing or sponsorship outreach.
    2.3. You understand that these materials may be edited, reproduced, or distributed in any format, without further consent or compensation.

3. Profile Publication

3.1. If selected as a contestant or finalist, you consent to MBIG International publishing your profile, photographs, and brief biography on its platforms and media outlets.
3.2. You agree that such publication is part of the standard competition process and helps promote the event and its participants.

4. The Village Market Square Meeting

4.1. All contestants are required to attend the official Village Market Square Meeting, which serves as a vital interactive and briefing session for the MBIG community.
4.2. Attendance is mandatory for all registered contestants, and failure to attend without valid prior notice may affect your eligibility in the competition.
4.3. Contestants must log in at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure proper attendance and participation.
4.4. The meeting is a camera-on session, and all contestants are expected to appear neatly and appropriately dressed for the duration of the meeting.
4.5. By registering, you agree to be recorded during these meetings for internal use and for promotional purposes across MBIG platforms.

5. Code of Conduct

5.1. Contestants are expected to conduct themselves with dignity, respect, and integrity throughout the competition.
5.2. Any act of misconduct, bullying, defamation, or online abuse directed at other contestants, judges, staff, or the public may lead to suspension or disqualification.
5.3. MBIG reserves the right to disqualify any contestant whose behavior negatively affects the brand’s reputation.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. All official MBIG content, including logos, slogans, videos, and materials, are the intellectual property of MBIG International and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
6.2. Any original materials (e.g., photos, videos, essays) submitted by contestants may be used by MBIG as part of its archives, promotional campaigns, or related events.

7. Decisions and Judging

7.1. All decisions by the judging panel and MBIG management are final and binding.
7.2. MBIG reserves the right to modify judging criteria or schedules at any time to ensure fairness and efficiency.

8. Prizes and Rewards

8.1. Prizes will be awarded as advertised, and MBIG will ensure fair distribution to all winners.
8.2. MBIG reserves the right to substitute prizes with items of equivalent value when necessary.
8.3. Any form of fraud, impersonation, or manipulation of the contest process may result in the forfeiture of prizes.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. MBIG International and its partners are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage (including personal, emotional, or reputational) arising directly or indirectly from participation in the pageant.
9.2. Contestants participate voluntarily and at their own risk.

10. Agreement to Terms

By clicking the “I Agree” button or submitting your registration, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
  • You consent to the use of your information and media files as outlined.
  • You agree to abide by all MBIG International rules, policies, and decisions.
  • You understand and accept your obligation to attend the Village Market Square Meeting as required.

11. General Provisions

11.1. MBIG reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the official MBIG website.
11.2. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
11.3. Participation in the pageant implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
